How we stay independent, and the lines we will not cross to earn a click.
Our business model is affiliate commissions. When a reader buys a product through a link on our site, we earn a percentage of the sale. That revenue pays our writers and funds the testing program.
What affiliate revenue does not buy
Affiliate revenue does not influence what we recommend. Editors do not see commission rates for the products they cover. We regularly recommend products from retailers that pay us less, or nothing at all, when they are the right answer for the reader.
What we will not do
We do not accept payment for coverage. We do not keep review samples we are sent; they are returned or donated once testing concludes. We do not write sponsored posts. When we get something wrong, we correct it in public and leave the old version linked.
